If you’re thinking about making the switch, there are a few similarities and differences between Photoshop and Affinity Photo worth bearing in mind. The updates address exploits in Google’s WebP Library, resolve an issue with PDF exports when documents are set to the Euroscale Coated V2 color format, fix a bug that prevented correct setting of the color profile in Document Setup, ensure that. Handily, it works when painting layer masks too. Serif has updated Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Affinity Publisher to version 2.2.1 with a fistful of bug fixes for all three macOS apps. Best of all is the Live Brush preview, which shows exactly how the brush will apply color, including any opacity or blend mode settings. Found within several tools, it gives you an idea of how an effect will look before you’ve added it, which saves on endless undoing and redoing. Another excellent feature is Live Previews.
